The world of chaos, theory and art of poetry Michael Dickel's New Art Collection

Michael Dickel's poetry defies easy characterization. The art in his new book, the world behind him, chaos, including photography and digital art, moves as his poetry between and surreal. Although his poems also have a political bias, visual art seems less inclined to the world. With sound and pictures and poems colors and textures of the photographs, both his poetry and art converge on the erotic. This book is not a book art only, and not a book of poetry, only. It is both art and poetry, an explosion off the page in the reader. No test or exam can fully capture the tensions and complementarity of work Dickel, who will soon be available from wv? eBook Press.

The book of poetry, photography and digital art has its own world of chaos and order, while the fractal not appear as a part of the work art, there is a sense of chaos theory here as long as the disease that is often behind the scenes view of our life, or just under the surface our humanity / civilization. Although this eBook makes use of the computer, the words and images do not feel like something from a computer the layout of the book provides a unique juxtaposition of image and text that looks more like art than technology, despite the online format (I read the book in Adobe Acrobat-PDF-format, but it will be published in Flash and Flash Projector format).

Few books, whether printed or e-books, years in bookstores, will experience these poems and art supply. Michael Dickel begins this collection with high intake of breath of inspiration the form of a deer jumped in his way. He concluded, however, with the stormy sea, carrying the urban landscape, the historic collapse in the shapes of skyscrapers turn to the sand under the force of waves. Yet, somehow, the poetry that leaves us with a sense of hope, love, of human possibilities in the spiritual realm. The last poem in the form of a nightmare, this more of a warning of what happens if we do not lend attention to our own natures best.

The publication of this book the theory that the publication in the press releases eBook publisher, as wv? eBook Press to make available books that otherwise would be too costly for release. color photos, high quality, cost much print. This book of poetry will be available free to say the right is a FREE eBook. While it would be nice, no doubt, to receive money Dickel for his book, he chose to have readers / viewers first.

Some of this art and poetry has a quality deeply Intellectual associated with spirituality. A picture may seem a bit mysterious, and, sometimes, transform the picture painted in something (Labyrinth 1-3). A mysterious landscape is covered with different seasons in one (fall). This is not a poem, a poem by Dickel, attempts to achieve Cubist aesthetics, to take the words of one party in a different order in the second, and the lines of the first part reorganized third party. The first word of each line of the first section, with some modifications, is arranged in the order (the line from first to last) for form the first line of the second section, then the second words form the second line, and so on. The first line of the first stanza of the first section is the first line of the first stanza of the third section, but is followed by the first line of the next stanza, and so on. Dickel, this way forward the Cubist sense of three dimensions in a flat painting. Michael Dickel use the form follows the aesthetics of painting and sculpture here as much as the classical poetry.

Yet, sound, image, rhythm, all play a role in his writing. Like the fact (with variations), at least a traditional form, the sestina. The sestina has six stanzas of six lines. The word at the end of each line is repeated in each stanza, but in a different order. Dickel poem, Sestina, responds to Elizabeth Bishop's poem of the same name. And, in addition to the usual pattern, it places its Sestina six words (or words close) in the middle of his lines, by rotating in the same schema.

That does not happen naturally, as with the cubist form that is not a poem, what happens in words in a move almost mathematical (fractal those of his theory of chaos?) so requires attention of the reader to be noticed. The flow of poems, lyrics Sestina make sense and not to repeat myself because they change direction in their dance across the page. The same with the cubist form, while each section contains the same words (more or less), as the three dimensions of space, their interpretation does not clear up This reader takes the time to study the craft behind the poem. There is a sense of abstraction, but also the coherence, language, sound, meaning. These poems, such as photographs and digital art that accompanies them, are not openly reveal a trade that is both real and innovative.

The rituals of the media to discuss poetry and art, painting rituals, rituals of writing poetry all come from this, in my opinion the world behind her, Chaos: Michael Dickel is a poet and artist worthy of attention, worthy of remark, a worth reading. His innovations challenge from a reader who wants to dive, but his work is also a reader who wants to understand. And the cost of this book is perfect free.

More Michael Dickel previously published poetry, as well as photos and art, can be found on its website. Although collection of poetry and art provides a consistent representation of diverse voices and styles Dickel, her title = "Michael Dickel Homepage"> The website offers an enjoyable way to browse the work of a poet and artist, we should all be more careful.
