Artist Statement

Art, for me, is a way to visually express the spiritual connection
between nature and myself.

My created works are in oils, pastels, or photography.

From the grandeur of a land or seascape…

down to the tiniest creations…

I love to examine, explore, and yes, marvel at all that the Great Mystery
has placed on our Mother Earth.

Through my work, I want to connect in some special way to the viewer

and also to the human soul.

I believe art is a connection between all humanities.

Art knows no boundaries.

Artist Bio

Pamela Reeder started painting at a very young age with her
father’s encouragement.

Pamela recently relocated to the Pacific Northwest in the spring of 2003. Now, at the age of 52, (and with a few other careers under her belt) she started pursuing a full-time art career. She will earn an Associate of Science Degree in Digital Media in the spring of 2007 from College of the Redwoods. “Computers are another great medium for an artist,” she admits.

Besides using the computer as a medium, she also loves to use (depending on her Muse) oils, pastels, or photography to bring nature to the attention of the viewer’s eyes and soul.

She is a member of the Fortuna Arts Council and the Redwood Art Association. Her business name is “THE ARTIST’S CONNECTION”. Pamela’s goal is to be an example to artists of all genres and to bring artists together to share ideas and to encourage each other.
