SHIPPING THE “BOY THIS IS A LOT OF BLA BLA BLA” BUT NESSESARY TO KNOW
|
Please allow up to 3 weeks for shipping and receiving art work. Maybe longer if near Holidays, make sure to add 2 more weeks during this time. So order ahead of time. If any further delay is anticipated, I will notify you by phone or email. I will also notify you when item is shipped.
Generally I will not have art work framed, as your specifics in design for your home or office interior may need to be considered. If I sell any framed art work, it will have plexi-glass or no glass, due to breakage potential. A framing shop will help you in putting glass into the frame.
I will ship art to you fully insured during transit via Federal Express, UPS, or other carrier specializing in shipping of art.
NOTE: A STREET ADDRESS IS REQUIRED ON ALL ORDERS. Complete phone number, including area code, are required for delivery
SHIPPING & HANDELING COST: For 8 x 10 photo prints $15.00. So it pays to order more. For larger art works, pastels or oil paintings $35.00 to $45.00 each

CARE OF YOUR PHOTOS & ART WORK THE NICE TO KNOW STUFF FOR FREE!
|
PHOTOS & DIGITAL ART WORK: Images prepared for the web are at a lower resolution. The color you see may vary from monitor to monitor. Rest assured when ordering my prints of my photography it will be at the highest resolution, color and quality. I use quality “Vivera Inks” and professional HP photo paper with a life of 105 years plus, according to HP manufactures. (Digital Art is sometimes printed on archival quality art papers, for best artistic affect and long life.)
Provided you follow proper instructions for care of the photography art work, it should last you a lifetime of enjoyment.
1. Protecting photos from direct sun light, UV rays, dust, and smoke. Extreme heat, cold, humidity,(which could mean attics in summer or damp basements, even bathrooms)
2. Avoid direct contact with glass or Plexi-glass, when framing by using an archival quality acid free matt border, and archival quality acid free mounting. A framing shop can assist you with your framing needs.
FYI when photographs are places next to glass, a sweating may occur, cause by fluctuations in humidity and temperatures. You may have or know someone whose photos have stuck to glass, this is the reason. The matt border provides an air space to minimize the sweating.
I print the photos to fit a standard 8 X 10 matt opening. They will arrive to you between ridged acid free matt boards. If you receive your photos and they are damaged from mailing, please return photos and original damaged packaging and I will gladly replace items at no additional cost, less return shipping charges.
PASTELS: Soft Pastels need to be kept under glass or Plexi-glass as well, due to the very nature of Soft Pastels, they easily rub off or are easily damaged. I seal my pastel paintings, however, for greater care they do need to be under protection of the glass. Also follow the standard care instructions for photos above, and you should enjoy your original art work for a years to come.
OIL PAINTINGS: In addition to the above mention:
3. Never lean the front or back surface of a stretched canvas on a pointed or sharp object.
4. Dust your painting regularly, so that a thick layer of dust does not build up and dry out the paint. Dust with a soft, dry clean cloth. I will usually seal the painting in a varnish for additional protection. Do not wash or spray anything on oil painting.
5. Protect the painting by cardboard and bubble wrap when transporting it. However, remove packaging soon, as moisture could build up and damage the art work.
6. Remember! If you ever need or want to get rid of the art work for any reason, always contact the artist, who should be informed of the work’s new whereabouts, so I can update the work’s provenance records. Never, ever destroy or throw away any original work of art!!!!! If you absolutely can’t keep it for any reason, offer to give it back to its creator.
I feel very connected to my art, it is a piece of my soul, so please respect it.
