Annecy
Located in a beautiful place, Lake Annecy, with stunning Aravis mountains located in the background, this place hosts the International Festival of Animated Film, held each year in June During the festival, all the city's theaters show movies that are involved in the competition. The city is located east of Lyon.
The location is known as the "Venice of Savoie" because it has a very medieval city center, which is built around the Castle of Annecy, which is a castle overlooking the city. The castle has been tastefully transformed into a museum'Annecy Castle, a fantastic museum that displays and historical overviews of works of art and craft Savoy. Other historic buildings include the Palais de l'Isle a prison in the city of the 12th century.
Cahors
Cahors is located north of Toulouse in the Pyrenees region and is the capital of the Quercy region. It is located in a place inside a bend of the river Lot. This is a historic city with many buildings old, quaint shopping streets and a very impressive cathedral. Cahors is a perfect base for exploring the region of Quercy. The region has many medieval villages, vineyards, castles and towering limestone cliffs carved to provide a backdrop of rivers Lot and Cele.
Cahors itself has many things to see and do – make sure you check the deck of the medieval period to the 14th century. This bridge, which is called Bridge Valentré covers the Lot and the towers and arches and is the most impressive. The bridge was completed in 1378. Also check at the Cathedral St Stephen and Dianne Arc. We should also visit the Museum Cahors Henri Martin. For some great views of a height, take a train from Cahors in the valley to St. Cirq Lapopie. Cahors out of it, you can take a journey into the world heritage cave paintings to prominent Pech Merle, east of the city and Font de Gaume in the west.
Food and drink are popular sectors in the city – Sailing Black Wine of Cahors, who has been in use since Roman times. The markets on Wednesday and Saturday to give an overview great in the casual atmosphere of the city, and you can taste the wonderful local dishes.
Lille
The northern the French city of Lille is well connected by rail and road – though no excuse not to take a visit there! And finally, another milestone in Lille certainly deserves to be explored by the Opera Square Theatre. After a fire devastated the building in the early 1900s it was rebuilt in the style of Louis XVI by Louis Cordonnier. The building is beautifully decorated with sculptures of the icons of the Greek period.
If you are interested in purchasing, then Lille is really a place to check. There are many markets to live in the city, especially at Christmas time with the market at the Place Rihour. You can enjoy the many wonderful local cuisine Lille to these markets. The kitchen is in the Flemish tradition and offers typical meat and fish wonderful. There are many shops in the city, and the great variety of shops to suit all budgets and tastes.
For some sites well when shopping, visit Lille's old town with its narrow cobbled streets lined with typical Flemish houses. If antiques and art galleries are your thing, visit The Grand Square or Square Concert.
Saint Etienne
The city is located in the Massif Central in central-eastern France. Located in the beautiful countryside, with snowcapped mountains and green valleys, lakes and waterfalls and rivers. The city of Saint Etienne is the home of some amazing timbered houses dating from the 16th century, and you'll come across many of these during your visit, especially if you venture into the towards the old town of Saint-Jacques.
Saint Etienne is home to the Museum of Modern Art, which has a large art collection modern. Another museum to visit is the Mine Museum, located on the site of the mining workplace more important 20th century. Take a trip down the mine shaft and discover what life was like for workers here. As you retrace the steps of minors to you a trip in a cage down into the pit, then the lampstore. In the exhibitions you can learn all about mining.
One major pleasures of architecture is the magnificent church of Notre-Dame, dating from the 18th century.
Tours
Situated in the Loire region, it is said that the purest form of the French language is spoken in Tours! The city has a rich and cosmopolitan feel it, with wide boulevards open and lush public parks and green spaces. It is not surprising that Tours is called "The Garden of France" (The Garden of France). Tours is positioned between two rivers, the Cher to the south and the Loire to the north.
One of the many factors in the choice of Tours as a holiday destination must be the occasion to taste the wonderful local wines, Vouvray white Montlouis. There are also some beautiful castles to see in the region, including Langeais and Chenonceau. Out Old Towers, which is the old town with its buildings Wood-half courses and Place Plumereau. It is a square with museums, art galleries, cafes and restaurants, and deserve to be explored. Weekly markets, Boulevard Beranger are also well worth checking out.
Near the cathedral, in the garden of the Museum of Fine Arts is a gigantic cedar, which is said to have been planted by Napoleon.
